We Don’t Need No Education

It’s not really news because this has been shown in studies before.  But, a new study out of Germany has shown again that folks with more education are more likely to be nearsighted.  It doesn’t say if it’s from being inside studying instead of outside playing in the sun (as other studies have suggested) or if there is something in studying and near work that makes a person become nearsighted.  Or, is it just that nearsighted folks are better at school than other folks?

Anyway, it gives us a chance to say “Hey, Teacher, leave those kids alone.”  Here’s the link to the study: Myopia and Level of Education – Ophthalmology: Journal of the AAO.  And like Cindy always says, “If you don’t eat your meat, you can’t have any pudding, how can you have any pudding if you don’t eat your meat?”
